Course Overview

The following training course is for all staff involved in commercial cleaning. On completion of this course, participants will have basic theoretical knowledge of health and safety at work in the commercial cleaning industry.

Lesson 2: Cleaning and Chemical Safety

• Cleaning & Sanitising
• Colour coding & cross contamination
• Infection control
• Working with chemicals

Lesson 3: Working with Equipment

• Working with equipment (Do the right thing & Do not)
• Working with equipment (use of hoover)
• Working with equipment ( use of buffer)
• Working with equipment ( use of flat mop & mop unit)
• Use of warning sign
• Storage & warehousing

Lesson 4: Waste Management and Fire Safety

• Management of waste
• Needles and sharps
• Fire awareness
